The children built ships for their fathers
One of the oldest shipyards of Turkey, at Hidrodinamik Shipyard, this time the children built ships from cardboard for their fathers. At the event that was organized at Hidrodinamik Shipyard the children who built colorful cardboard ships, gave them as a gift to their fathers and they launched the cardboard ships with their fathers.
The employees of Hidrodinamik Shipyard who has built tens of ships, repaired and converted thousands of ships until today took an unforgettable gift on father’s day. During the event at the shipyard the children choosing their fathers as their assistants made colorful cardboard ships with their dads.. Although the job of the fathers are building real ships they slogged at times while making ships from cardboards, they enjoyed spending time with their children. After they finished making the cardboard ships, the children wrote the names of their fathers and displayed the Turkish flags on the ships. The children reminded their fathers the day that they became a father by writing their date of births as an IMO number. The surprise of the day was the time when the children gave the cardboard ships as a gift to their father.
They Launched The Ships
As being the children of shipyard employees, they did not ignore to make a launching ceremony to the ships. The children launched the colorful and lively cardboard ships to the sea from a private secure area of the shipyard with their fathers and watched the sailing of the ships together. While the fathers had a cheerful time with their children at the same time the children became happy for being at their father’s work place.
General Manager of Hidrodinamik Shipyard Cengiz Kasap welcomed the guests and made a speech: ‘As you know, today we are here to celebrate Father’s Day. First of all, Happy Fathers Day to everyone. Also, I wish a happy summer holiday to all children. Today you built ships from cardboards and gave them as a gift to your fathers. You watched them sailing on the sea with your dads. I think, the ships you built were the most beautiful ships that your fathers have ever seen. I hope that the cardboard ships you imagined and built here will inspire us all while we are working.’
